These conditions apply whenever someone visits, reads, or uses a search tool on this website. Continued use signals acceptance of every term below. A visitor who does not agree must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Chilton County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Alabama, or federal government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) decisions. It is a record-resource reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It cannot retrieve or certify an official record, perform an official check, file a form, or maintain a government criminal-record database.

Its content identifies official Chilton County sources, including the Sheriff's Office, criminal courts, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency repository, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors to separately operated research tools. Public access under the Alabama Open Records Act, Ala. Code § 36-12-40, remains subject to lawful restrictions, while Ala. Code § 41-9-601 restricts unauthorized acquisition or disclosure of criminal-offender record information.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information reached through this site may be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Misuse can also violate criminal law. Alabama registry information published under Ala. Code § 15-20A-8 serves community safety. It does not authorize vigilantism, an attack on a registrant, workplace blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Chilton County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not prepare a consumer report, credit report, or background report. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for applicant screening, rental review, insurance rating, or credit decisions. Site or linked-tool data must not be used to:

  • Set an insurance premium or judge creditworthiness
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Evaluate a tenant or housing applicant
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated decision

A legally regulated check must come from an appropriate official or FCRA-compliant provider, not from this site.

General information about Chilton County records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Alabama attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement law applies to a particular set of facts.
